Enjoy a live Tea Ceremony demonstration at the Flower Dome! This traditional Japanese cultural activity, also known as Chanoyu or Chado, involves the ceremonial preparation and serving of matcha and a Japanese sweet.
Eexperience Tea Ceremony firsthand on a pay-as-you-like basis where all proceeds will go towards Gardens by the Bay’s Gift of Gardens community outreach initiative.

Urasenke is one of the main schools of Japanese tea ceremony. Chado Urasenke Tankokai Singapore Association is a non-profit association that was established in June 1991. Its aim is to bring people from all walks of life together through “The Way of Tea”.

Delve into the rich history of Japanese tea with Cha Kabuki, a distinctive practice of the Omotesenke tea tradition. This elegant tea-tasting game invites participants to refine their senses, memorise the nuances of different teas, and attempt to identify them. uests not only savour exquisite tea beneath Sakura trees, but also engage in a deeply immersive cultural experience of Japan.
Omotesenke Hoseikai was founded by Professor Tomoko Ueda to promote the philosophy of chanoyou(茶の湯) and the omotesenke(表千家) tradition of sado(茶道). To date, there are well over 300 members who had acquired various skill levels through Hoseikai-Singapore, including few Singaporeans and non-Japanese.
