This June school holidays, get ready to delve into the fascinating world of emotions as Children’s Festival returns for its 10th edition – this time, featuring an exciting collaboration with Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2!

The Supertree Grove will be transformed into an Inside Out 2-themed outdoor carnival with six interactive installations inspired by characters from Inside Out 2. Join us on a fun adventure with core Emotions like Anxiety, Envy, Ennui and Embarrassment, as we learn about emotions through play. 

Children’s Festival 2024 is an outdoor carnival featuring Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2-themed interactive installations. Pick up a complimentary activity trail booklet from the redemption counter, locate all 6 installations at the Supertree Grove and complete the activities in the activity trail booklet. Upon completion, present your activity trail booklet at the redemption counter at the sheltered corridor of Supertree Grove to redeem an exclusive Inside Out 2 sticker sheet. 

Event highlights include: 

• Weekend Performances 
  Amazed, excited, mesmerized! Feel a whirlwind of emotions with the exciting line up of talented performers who will captivate you with their skills and creativity. Fringe performances such as bubble blowing, juggling and magic shows will come on during evenings of the first three weekends for all to enjoy.  

• Crafty Workshops
  Join us for interesting and crafty workshops over the weekends as we dive into a world of creativity and imagination. Here, little ones can unleash their artistic talents and bring their arts and crafts home. Children aged 3 to 12 years old are invited to create their own Memory Orbs, musical boxes, friendship bracelets and more. Separate charges apply for these activities.

• Carnival of Emotions
  Express your emotions as you explore exciting games in the fun-filled Carnival of Emotions! From staying calm as you knock off blocks to all-out mania with aiming balls in a tub, there's no shortage of fun to be had! Charges for carnival games apply. 

• Outdoor Screenings of Disney and Pixar favourites
  Unwind as a family under the magical glow of the Supertrees and catch Disney favourites such as Coco, Elemental, Finding Dory and The Incredibles 2! Grab a cozy spot, relax under the stars, and get ready for an unforgettable night of family fun at Children’s Festival!

• Retail Pop-up
  Own your emotions! Bring home an array of Inside Out-themed products at the retail pop-up located along the sheltered walkway after exploring all the Emotion Islands in the Garden of Emotions.

• Garden Rhapsody - The Medley of Emotions
  Come and be dazzled by the magnificent sight of the Supertrees and enjoy a special edition of the nightly Garden Rhapsody, titled “The Medley of Emotions”.

Children’s Festival opening hours are from 25 May to 22 June 2024, 10.00am - 9.00pm daily. 

Note: The Inside Out 2 installations will close at 7.00pm.

Children’s Festival is predominantly held at the Supertree Grove, Gardens by the Bay.  Fringe activities such as stage performances and movie screenings will be held at Silver Garden. 

Be sustainable! As large crowds are expected, it is highly encouraged to use public transport to get to Gardens by the Bay. The nearest MRT station is Bayfront MRT Station (CE1/DT16) Exit B via the Circle Line or Downtown Line and Gardens by the Bay MRT station (TE22) via Thomson East-Coast Line.

Time slot registration to visit the Children’s Festival is not required. However, registration is required for some selected activities within the Festival.

Yes, our light and sound show Garden Rhapsody takes place daily at 7.45pm and 8.45pm. 

During this period, the theme is “The Medley of Emotions”. Immerse yourself in the display of lights and music as the Supertrees and Memory Orbs within the Kaleidoscope of Memories synchronise their illumination and change colours in harmony with the Inside Out soundtrack.

Children’s Festival is a rain-or-shine event. However, in the event of inclement weather, we advise visitors to take shelter and experience the event when the rain has stopped.

At this year’s Children’s Festival, families can look forward to an array of installations and activities inspired by both the core and new Emotions of Inside Out 2. 

This includes:

• Memory Orb Mountain*

There are a total of six workshops and each session will take approximately 1 hour:

• Sand Art Workshop (charges applicable at $15/pax)
• Floral Bookmarks Craft Workshop (charges applicable at $15/pax)
• Keychain Crafts Workshop (charges applicable at $15/pax)
• Friendship Bracelet Craft Workshop (charges applicable at $15/pax)
• String Art Craft Workshop (charges applicable at $15/pax) 
• Memory Orb Craft Workshop (charges applicable at $18/pax)

Fringe performances such as bubble blowing, juggling and magic shows will come on during evenings of the first three weekends for all to enjoy at Supertree Grove Lawn and Silver Garden. Admission is free.

The Train of Emotions is a scenic train ride around Supertree Grove, bringing you and your little ones on a unique tour around the Supertrees to be introduced to the amazing world of Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 and learn about the different types of feelings in each Emotion island. 

The Train of Emotions ride is recommended for children agreed 7 years old and above, and taller than 120cm tall. Children aged between 5 to 6 years old and/or under 120cm will require a paid accompanying adult. The ride is not recommended for children aged 4 years and below. 

The Train of Emotions ride is available daily from 10am – 7pm and a ticket is required to board the train. Tickets are available on a first-come-first-served basis and can only be purchased onsite at the Festival. 

Ticket Price:

• 6 medals ($12) per ride

Note: Train rides will be suspended during inclement weather i.e. during lightning risk and heavy rain.

Members of the public are invited to enjoy complimentary outdoor screenings of Disney and Pixar favourites on 25 May and 26 May, and 1 June and 2 June at Silver Garden from 7.30pm. Come early to save a spot and enjoy free pre-screening stage performances from 6.30pm too!

Gardens by the Bay’s Children’s Festival will also be one of the first places in Singapore where shoppers can get their hands on Inside Out 2-themed merchandise at a special retail pop-up located along the sheltered walkway. Inspired by fan-favourite Disney and Pixar characters, discover a delightful range for all ages, spanning apparel, reversible bucket hats, tote bags, drinkware, cushions, stationery and more.  

Between 25 May and 9 June, visitors may also win tickets to a movie screening of Inside Out 2. Simply take a creative photo of your adventures at Gardens by the Bay’s Children's Festival and upload it to your Instagram account with the hashtags #GBBChildrensFest #gardensbythebay #InsideOut2SG. Each winner will receive four movie tickets and a discount voucher to shop online at Disney Store (DisneyStore.asia) for more Pixar collectibles. 

As a bonus, visitors whose submitted photos feature Inside Out 2-themed outfits stand an additional chance to win Gardens by the Bay’s “best dressed” contest!
